Full Moon in Cancer 12/29/2020

In order for a Full Moon to happen, the Moon has to be opposite the Sun. In this case, we are in Capricorn Season so the Sun is in Capricorn and its opposite sign is Cancer. Capricorn is about work (ruled by Saturn) and Cancer is about the home and emotions (ruled by the Moon). A Full Moon is the time of the month that calls for releasing and letting go. We all know this lunar phase, the moon shining bright in all its glory.

This Full Moon being in Cancer (8 degree), we’re going to be more emotional than usual. Keep in mind that just as much as you’re feeling the waves of emotion coming trough you, the same is for everyone else. It’s a good time to give our self and others grace.

For a few minutes, think about (preferably write down) the answers to the following:

  • Am I being pessimistic when it comes to my home life?

  • Am I clinging to old emotions that no longer bring joy to my life?

  • Am I being nostalgic of what was and resisting moving on?

  • Am I willing to create new memories that are going to bring happiness to my life?

  • Am I being honest with myself about how I’m truly feeling?

  • Am I letting my emotions come up to the surface in a healthy manner?

  • Am I hiding my true emotions from myself and others?

We’ve all been hurt, whether it is by our parents, significant other, child, sibling, bosses, friends, you name it. And, I’m not here to say send them love and light, no. It’s not about them, it’s about you. The reality is that whether or not you want to acknowledge it that heavy energy is bringing you down. Forgiving doesn’t mean what they did to you is condoned.  Forgiving is for yourself to get rid of that yucky energy.

There can’t be true releasing and letting go without forgiveness work. Forgiveness for yourself and for others.

A few of the forgiveness practices that have helped me throughout the years and still do are:

  • Tapping (Brad Yates Youtube videos are fantastic)

  • Ho’oponopono (Hawaiian practice that translates to Correction)

  • Energy Healing

  • Past Life Regressions

  • Affirmations - “I am willing to forgive”

Forgiveness won’t happen overnight, but you can get started on that path. Use the energy of the Full Moon to tune in to that healing for yourself.

As we approach the full phase of the Moon, which will be on Tuesday 12/29/2020 at 7:28pm PST, eat light foods and drink lots of water. Just as the Moon is filling up so are we. Given that Cancer rules the stomach, our digestion may be slower than usual. This energy is felt a day or two before and after the Full Moon.

Wishing you a great Full Moon release!
